President Biden was silent for Christmas and New Year’s. Except, of course, to lecture Americans on how they need to follow his rules.
But Joe did find time, today, to give a speech attacking Donald Trump. The embattled “president” (with a 35% approval rating, lower than Trump’s), tried to use the events of January 6, 2021, to smear a man he fears will run again.
Biden accused Trump of creating a “web of lies” about the 2020 Election. In an ironic moment showing Biden’s lack of self-awareness, he claimed Trump valued “power over principle.”
Isn’t this the same man who threatened to drive 100 million Americans out of their jobs over a mandate? But, rest assured, Donald Trump did not take this lying down.
From Fox News:
Former President Donald Trump responded to President Biden’s sharp criticism in a Jan. 6 speech, saying his Democratic successor is trying to distract from his record.
Biden “used my name today to try to further divide America,” Trump said in a statement. “This political theater is all just a distraction for the fact Biden has completely and totally failed.”
Hard words from 45. But Donald wasn’t done:
“Our Country no longer has Borders, has totally and completely lost control of Covid (record numbers!), is no longer Energy Independent, Inflation is rampant, our Military is in chaos, and our exit, or surrender, from Afghanistan was perhaps the most embarrassing day in the long and distinguished history of the United States—and so much more,” Trump continued.
Trump issued a response to Biden’s speech that not even liberals could deny. He exposed Biden’s divisive attack, saying it was simply political theater.
The 45th president called out Biden’s “totally failed” administration (which is currently on life support as staffers flee to the hills). Trump went on to list some of the many failures triggered by Biden.
He pointed out our destroyed Southern border, Biden’s failures on the virus, and our loss of energy independence (thanks directly to Biden’s policies). Trump slammed Biden for his runaway inflation, chaos in the military, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, and “so much more.”
What can Biden or Democrats say in response? Biden is responsible for a historic number of crises that happened on his watch. These were no coincidences, but direct results from Biden’s own decisions.
Joe says “the buck stops here” and then immediately blames everything on Trump. His administration wasted 2021, running to put out the fires it started. Of course, they only made the problems much worse.
Biden has no legs to stand on. So, he gave a pointless, partisan, and divisive speech instead of taking the opportunity to help unite the country.
Why would he waste time attacking a man who is no longer in office (and has the support of over 75 million Americans)? Because he’s got nothing left. Biden had “success” in 2020 because he could attack Trump.
But without Trump to yell at, he and the Democrats have nothing. Failed Democrat candidate for Virginia governor tried to attack Trump. How did that work out for him? Democrats have no ideas for our country, just mountains of hate for a man loved by millions.
